For platinum, palladium, and albumin it is fantastic. There is very little in the way of instructions on the package, but the people at the company are happy to talk to you on the phone. International orders are processed the next shipping day. These specific transparencies work much better than others, because of the tonal value that it can and does hold, and it doesn’t smear as easy as others do. I’m a hand engraver and use this product to transfer images to metal. I use pictorio for all my digital negatives and pictorio hasn’t failed me once! Once the varnish dries the image is placed face down on the metal and burnished.
I really can’t think of any down side to mention. Pictorico’s OHP Transparency Film delivers crisp, easy-to-read text, brilliant, non-smear colors, and water-resistant images that enhance your visual display. Overall this is a good product. I also think the pricing is due it its niche market factor which is why I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the Epson Artisan does not support transparency printing. This does not affect print quality. I have found that the negatives tend to get minor scratches and easily get water spots should they touch waterbut this has not been noticeable on the prints themselves. When you contact print the printed side is in contact with the sensitized surface so in white light printing the translucent side acts as a diffuser and has no effect on the sharpness of the print.
Right sized solutions for the small to medium commercial printer. For something like tintype or cyanotype which do not produce a super high level of tonal quality it’s probably overkill and you could get by with a more affordable product. Highly recommend them for people using them for these purposes. Try his new technique of using our Photo Gallery Hi-Gloss White Film as a digital negative for printing on silver gelatin paper.

Premium OHP Transparency Film
The consequence is that your digital negative will never be totally clear so plan ahead and either make your negative larger than your image to avoid unintentional borderingor build in a digital border around your image. I really can’t think of any down side to mention. I’ll definitely purchase it again. I also think the pricing is due it its niche market factor which is why I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars.
If I were intending to have pristine negatives, I would recommend placing a protective sheet of acetate between the negative and the emulsion on the paper.
The image will scratch easily.
